Joaquim Rodríguez secured the 2013 UCI WorldTour title on Sunday at the Giro di Lombardia. The Spaniard called "Purito" accrued 607 points during the season and will sit out the calendar-closing Tour of Beijing. Tour de France champion Chris Froome will end the year second, with 587 points, and Alejandro Valverde is third, with 540 points.
